Exhibition mosaic artist Raphael Samú in Amstelveen

Raphael Samú (1929) is a versatile Brazilian artist from Espírito Santo, in the southeast of Brazil. The artist became particularly famous for his large mosaic walls in the city of Rio de Janeiro. In addition Samú makes paintings, wood carvings and engravings.

The exhibition at the Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen, shows some of his screen prints and mosaic art works. Samú’s work has been exposed before at the prestigious São Paulo Art Biennial.
