Eylem Aladogan, who is a young Dutch - Turkish sculptor, will take a distinctive part in the 12th Istanbul Biennial, in her solo section with her elaborately titled 2009 piece "Listen to your soul, my blood is singing in iron triggers that could be released," where the quills of feathers become shotguns. The sculpture work is about listening to your instincts, and exploring all the possibilities you have but may not be aware of. She calls it 'iron triggers that could be released' because it takes a lot of internal struggle to listen to your heart.
