HOPSCOTCH: A dance, clap, jump and play-along concert

The game hopscotch is known in various forms around the world. Samba Salad takes people onto the streets and transforms this old game into a new dance craze: sing, clap, dance, jump and play along! This irresistible fun concert with unusual rules was inspired by street games and songs from the Netherlands and the rest of the world.

It’s about winning and losing, friendship, joining in, and playing together.

Guitars, piano, bass, crackling flamenco heels and plenty of percussion create an energetic blend of samba, flamenco, reggae, hip hop, mestiza and salsa, performed with a great sense of fun and kicking up a great hullabaloo!
Contemporary lyrics by Sjoerd Kuyper, Theo Olthuis, Koos Meinderts and Herman Link alternate with well-known international children’s songs.
