Hrant Dink Foundation's Multimedia Project in cooperation with Free Press Unlimited

With funding from the Consulate-General of the Netherlands (Matra fund) and the British Embassy, Hrant Dink Foundation is implementing a multimedia project with partners Galata Fotoğrafhanesi from Turkey, Free Press Unlimited from the Netherlands and Youth Initiative Centre of Gyumri from Armenia.

The project will consist of workshops in Istanbul (the first workshop will take place between 12 -18 September 2011) for participants from Armenia and Turkey on multimedia, documentary photography, storytelling, etc.. After the workshops participant teams will shoot documentaries in Kars-Vanadzor/Gyumri.

In november the documentaries will be screened (a.o. on local tv channels in both countries). The multimedia products will show both the Armenian and the Turkish people the common issues and characteristics of the societies  which will improve understanding and appreciation of each other’s culture and will create new dynamics in strengthening ties between the two societies.
