La La La Human Steps is an exhibition of works from the collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, the internationally renowned fine arts museum in the Netherlands. Founded in 1849, the museum in Rotterdam has a large international collection of modern and contemporary artworks as well as old master paintings, prints, and drawings.
The exhibition reflects on human relationships and genuine human conditions such as desire, failure, despair, curiosity, betrayal and confrontations. Featuring the works of 28 prominent artists from different places and periods, La La La Human Steps translates these themes at three levels:
Encounters in History
Personal Encounters
Public Encounters
Organized within the framework of the celebrations of 400 years of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Turkey, the exhibition is curated by Sjarel Ex, director of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.
