More than Double Glazing

The Green Art Lab Alliance is a coalition formed by nineteen cultural organisations in Europe. Together, this group looks at what environmental sustainability means in practice for artists and designers. GALA aims to become a Europe-wide network that uses research and imagination to make Europe more sustainable. The Dutch members of GALA are the Jan van Eyk Academie in Maastricht and DutchCulture | Transartists.

Symposium
More than Double Glazing is an international symposium is organised by the Jan van Eyk Academie Maastricht, and it takes place on the occassion of The New Material Award 2014 exhibition by Het Nieuwe Instituut, Stichting DOEN and the Materiaalfonds. The speakers include Ian Rimington from the Arts Council England, Alison Tickell from Julie’s Bicycle, David Buckland from Cape Farewell and Guy Gypens from the Kaaitheater. The full programme will be announced end of November.
