MUSIC GENERATIONS - Munzur Festival

MUSIC GENERATIONS is a program by Euro+ Songfestival aiming at talent development in a lively exchange with other - music - cultures and countries.

In 2012, when Turkey and Holland celebrated 400 years of friendship, the Dutch singers did workshop and gave concerts together with their Turkish friends.

Now, ten Dutch singers and three musicians from Codarts Academy of Music will work with local singers, children, womenchoirs  and musicians in workshops. This will be followed by a concerts during the Munzur festival. Together they will be celebrate music as cultural heritage and valuing culture and friendship by singing in Turkish, Zaza, Dutch and English

Musical leader Ahmet Aslan and Leonie van der Wal from Codarts Rotterdam will make the program together. Thanks to funding from the Grundtvig senior volunteer exchange program, three senior singers from the Munzur area will be invited to come to Holland for three weeks.

In Holland the program is supported by the Fund for Cultural Participation, Prince Bernhard Culture Fund, in Turkey by the municipality of Ovacik.
