Panorama dance festival 2013 in Rio de Janeiro

The 22nd edition of the Panorama dance festival takes place in Rio de Janeiro from 25 October until 10 November 2013. The festival is one of the most important contemporary dance events in Latin America. 

“Since it first began in 1992, over 300 artists have performed at Panorama, and this year’s main themes are twofold; focusing on art in urban space and the relation of the body and the citizen to the city, as well as on the art of the avant-garde that marked the 20th century. According to festival director Nayse López, “the idea is to propose performances in urban landscapes, and reflect on the construction of memory.”
