PRIDE WALK & PARTY

Everyone has the right to be themselves, anywhere, anytime! Put on your shoes or high heels and strap them tightly for the 3rd edition of the annual PRIDE WALK. Anyone who supports the LGBT community is invited to join this march, as a powerful signal against homophobia and anti-gay violence and for tolerance and respect. From 5pm there is a manifestation in Mercatorplein in Amsterdam West, at 6 the Pride Walk will depart for the Homomonument and upon arrival the party starts at the Homomonument.

PARTY
From 6pm the DJs will have you dancing at the Homomonument. Meneer Van Lennep kicks off with his delicious mix of nu-disco, indie dance and house music. The arrival of the Pride Walk is followed by the official opening of the outdoor events of Gay Pride Amsterdam. Subsequently Pink Istanbul will take over the stage with its oriental melange of Turkpop, house and pop, spun by Beyza from Istanbul and Erhan Afacan from Amsterdam, and a performance by the Trippin Angels. Techno duo W&DY & Oz Romita, a.k.a. Stripe Two, will provide the steamy and thumping closing act.

Amsterdam’s world-famous Homomonument is not just a memorial, but also a fabulous place to party. Join us for the celebrations of Gay Pride and come dance with us under the sun to great music spun by Amsterdam’s finest DJs. The Homomonument open-air festival is free for all.
