SEMINAR: INTRODUCING CHILDREN'S FILM IN CHINA
In collaboration with the China Children Film Association (CCFA), the seminar will unveil Netherland's and China’s film industries. With 200 members comprising filmmakers, producers, distributors, critics, directors of children's TV programmes, specialists in children's education, and social workers, CFFA is a professional group, engaged in children’s films.
An overview of the history of children’s film in China will be given by Mr. Luo Hui, followed by a presentation on Chinese film policy and distribution of children and youth films by Mr. Jin Zhongqiang, General Secretary of CCFA. Monique Ruinen of the Netherlands Film Fund will give insight in financing, production and distribution in the Netherlands; the importance of film education and the Dutch school curriculum will be described by Florine Wiebenga, Head of Education at Amsterdam's EYE Film Institute.
The Seminar, opened by director Sannette Naeye and moderated by Dutch producer Marleen Slot of Viking Film, includes Q&A sessions.
