SinemaDansAnkara

SinemaDansAnkara is a dance film festival, which takes place for the first time in Ankara. The festival is free of charge and it presents a rich selection of the latest national and international dance films.  

Alongside viewings, the festival hosts lectures on the aesthetics, history and theory of dance film provided by national and international speakers. English-Turkish simultaneous translation is provided during these public lectures for attendees.

The festival also organizes a 4-day workshop on the production of dance film with dance and cinema students. Supervised by Turkish and international coaches, the workshop will result in 5 short dance films. 

During the festival, photographer Osman Ürper’s dance photography exhibition “On Dance” will be shown at the exhibition hall of the Goethe Institute.
