Turkey day in Hengelo

Hengelo is organizing a closing day for NLTR400 on Sunday, January 20 at the Creative Factory.

At 11.00 the Turkish Consul General Mr Yunus Belet along with Mayor Sander Schelberg will open this festive event. From 12.00 to 17.00 there is a program with Turkish music, tastings and demonstrations. There is also a exhibition of paintings made by Henk Lassche. These will be old and new works of him. Photographer Agnes Booijink will exhibit its collection of photographs of Turkish Hengeloërs. 25 years ago they made ​​pictures of Turkish children in Hengelo and some of these children are photographed again in 2012. These double portraits are exhibited during the event. The event is open for every resident in Hengelo.

The Turkey day will be held in the Creative Factory, in the space of the former AkkuH. Tuindorpstraat 61 in Hengelo.

The exhibition of Henk Lassche and Agnes Booijink can still be seen until 17 February on Saturdays and Sundays from 14:00 to 17:00.
