On 22 May  the documentary ‘Bloem van twee landen (A Flower connecting two countries) by Remmelt Lukkien will be screened at Hortas Botanicus in Leiden.

The video documentary A Flower Connecting Two Countries tells how the hyacinth has connected Turkey and Holland for many centuries. As a native flower of Anatolia the hyacinth was already visualized widely in the Turkish visual arts before hyacinth bulbs came from Turkey to Holland in the 16th century. [in Dutch]
