Lloyd by Home

During the project Lloyd by Home a group of international artists
investigates what home means for Asian immigrants in Holland.
They interviewed elderly Chinese people about the topic home in
the Chinese elderly centre Foe Ooi Leeuw in the Bijlmer and Tung Lok
in Stadsdeel Oost. Furthermore they draw reflections of these interviews
on ceramic tea cups, which will be used in a tea ceremony during the exhibition.

Next to that they will have a workshop with Asian youngsters in Holland about
the topic home in Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy from 13 until 15 February.
Together they will make wearable cardboard art sculptures that remind them
of their home and present images of this in the exhibtion space.
