Exhibit Turkish photographs in the Netherlands

The key to success in Turkey for a photographer unfortunately still relies mostly on international appreciation. He/she needs to first prove himself/herself on the international scene which isn’t so simple. Increasing collaborations and exchanges between Turkey and the Netherlands could support young photographers. Many are enthusiastic to go and study abroad to work with international photographers, broaden their view and opportunities of the profession, benefit from the challenge of creating in a multinational platform and show their work abroad. International education opportunities, workshops, art residencies, mentoring and tutoring by established photographers would all endorse their career. Even established photographers such as the NAR PHOTOS Collective are highly willing to partake in projects where they can exhibit creative work together with their Dutch counterparts outside Turkey. The Amsterdam based 7 Hills Foundation has organized photography exhibitions by young generations of photographers and Foam has worked regularly with Ahmet Polat.
