Focus on sustainable cultural bodies

The Dutch partners of 2012 should also give priority to projects on sustainable cultural bodies. During these kinds of special celebration years, short or mid-term projects are funded which does not always help the growth of the sector. Turkey has experienced this problem in 75th Anniversary of Turkish Republic (1998), 700th Anniversary of the Foundation of Ottoman Empire (1999) and Istanbul European Capital of Culture (2010).
