Iona Stichting: Projectondersteuning
Funding for projects and research that follow the anthroposophical world view and working method of the Iona Foundation.

The Iona Foundation is an international private foundation for project funding, inspired by anthroposophy and art. It acts on the intersection of the creation of values and society and supports various initiatives, including (international) art projects, that aim for development and renewal on a social, cultural and spiritual level.

Artists from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, of all professional levels (including amateur) working in the field of architecture, garden and landscape architecture, music (young amateur musicians), (amateur) theatre and the visual arts who recognise themselves in the view and working method of the foundation. The proposed project should fit the general criteria of the foundation.

Research

Travel costs can be financed, except plane tickets. Book publications, professional performing arts, artist-in-residencies, films and documentaries are not eligible for funding.

How much

A maximum of € 5,000.

Requirements

When assessing an application, Iona Foundation considers the following aspects:

  • Does the application fit within the aims of the foundation?
  • Does the project show creativity and power of initiative?
  • Inner consistency of the application: does the initiator create a connection between ideal, target group, approach and a financial plan?

International applications are welcome, but not without a reference from someone in the foundation’s network who has local contacts and personal knowledge of the project.
