Art prize for a promising artist including an international travel grant

From their shared passion for art, John and Marine van Vlissingen created their art foundation in 2008 to showcase talented Dutch visual artists and encourage them to take new steps in their artistic journey.

Each year, the board selects a promising artist who is granted the John & Marine Van Vlissingen Art Foundation Prize. This artist then travels to a destination of their choice where their inspiration can flourish to the fullest. New work emerges from this experience. The entire process is documented in a book and presented alongside the new work during an exhibition to a wide audience.
