Funding for international tours of pop musicians from Rotterdam

Popradar is a local organisation dedicated to the pop music scene in Rotterdam. To boost the export of Rotterdam pop music, the Popunie has developed Music Export Rotterdam, which financially and substantively supports Rotterdam artists on tour, which has been made possible thanks to financial support from the Municipality of Rotterdam.

Who can apply
Individuals

Band / artists from Rotterdam. The majority must be born and/or residing in Rotterdam, and the band/artist must identify as Rotterdam-based. Bands/artists can apply for support a maximum of two times per year.

Project

Only the costs of band members are applicable. Costs of accompanying crew, management, etc., cannot be included in the budget.
Travel and accommodation costs should be based on standard low-budget prices.

How much

A maximum of €1,000 for tour expenses, which is no more than the applicant's own contribution and no more than 50% of the total tour costs.

Requirements
  • The applying band/artist must be from Rotterdam. The majority must be born and/or residing in Rotterdam, and the band/artist must identify as Rotterdam-based.
  • The international tour consists of at least four consecutive performances.
  • Applications are only accepted if there is an expected budget deficit; tours with an expected positive result are not eligible.
