Introduction
This text analyzes the current contemporary scene in Turkish photography. It will look at the increasing popularity among society in the last two decades due to digital developments, and the introduction of a multitude of agents (museums, galleries, associations, project houses, artists, etc) who strive to promote this art. It will also underline the areas of development, such as photography curation, education, and criticism, topics that highly favors bilateral collaborations between Turkey and the Netherlands. Finally it will also explain how Dutch funds and artists can work on creating a partnership with Turkish artists and institutes.
