The Modern Migration Policy Act does not apply to the regulations for a work permit (TWV), but there will be a simplification of procedures. This means, in a practical sense, that the employer can apply for both a residence permit and a work permit from the UWV-IND desk using a single application form. A revision of the Aliens Employment Act is in preparation but it is not yet known when it will be introduced.
