Danish State Archives

The aim of the Danish National Archives is to store and collect original documents of historical value and make them available to the public.

Our collection consists of documents in words and images about our common history, the development of the Danish democracy and jurisdiction, great events and characters of historical significance like the kings and queens, but also documents about the lives of common Danes.

We welcome anyone to use the archives and gain knowledge about themselves or Danish history.
