The Flemish Association for Industrial Archaeology (Vlaamse Vereniging voor Industriële Archeologie) is the independent platform of volunteers and volunteer associations dealing with research, conservation and interpretation of industrial and technical heritage in Flanders (Belgium). The association was established on May 1st 1978 and is thus one of the oldest industrial heritage organisations in Europe. The association is twinned with the Catalan association for industrial archaeology, and works close together with Dutch associations in the field. In 1981 they organised the first 'Flemish-Dutch contact days on industrial archeaology' (Vlaams-Nederlandse Ontmoetingsdagen voor Industriële Archeologie) wich almost annually have taken place since, in Flanders or in The Netherlands. Together with Dutch associations they publish the Flemish-Dutch review 'Heritage of Industry and Technology' (Vlaams-Nederlands tijdschrift 'Erfgoed van Industrie en Techniek').
