Institute to Promote Suriname Studies

The Foundation Institute to Promote Suriname Studies aims to initiate, promote and maintain studies in the area of Surinamese language, literature, culture and history. The foundation publishes both the magazine Oso and the series BSS, Sources for the Study of Suriname. Every year, the IBS organizes a colloquium on a current theme within Suriname.
