OCT Art & Design Gallery

The OCT Art & Design Gallery is China’s first gallery themed in pioneer design, officially launched on 1st September, 2008. It is conveniently located at Overseas Chinese Town, the center of Art and Culture, being adjacent to InterContinental Shenzhen and the renowned “He Xiangning Art Museum”, and is also minutes walk to three themed parks-- “Splendid China”, “China Folk Village” and “The Window of the World”.

The OCT Art & Design Gallery is built on purpose to drive forth and develop the vanguard design, which involve varied design industries such as graphic and space design, product and fashion, digital and animation design and targeting many other dynamic and contemporary art events. The gallery is putting itself on the frontier, bringing in the best new design ideas from around the world and discovering, revealing, publicizing and developing the latest trends and talent through involvement in themed exhibitions, public seminars, academic forums, international academic exchange activities and education.

The main building of The OCT Art & Design Gallery is renovated from an old warehouse. A hexagonal glass curtain wall, which is made by overlapping steel structures, forms of shell around the original building and works to preserve the heritage within.

The Gallery is a modern multi-purpose environmental friendly venue with a total of 2,000 sq² of its 3,000 sq² floor space has been demarcated for temperature controlled exhibition halls and archive. The Gallery is fully equipped for both the exhibition and collection of artworks, and is a quintessential part of the OCT Culture & Tourist Center, where it also serves as a meeting point for artists, arts spectators, connoisseurs and collectors.

The OCT Art & Design Gallery is invested and built by OCT Group, with its completion, The “Art Triangle” that OCT Group aims to create a window to Chinese culture has finally revealed. “He Xiangning Art Museum”, China’s top-notch national art museum; “OCT Contemporary Art Terminal” featuring the cutting-edge artworks while the latest “OCT Art & Design Gallery” taking the lead of developing pioneer design. The “Art Triangle” is joining in effort to formalize a full-dimensional showcase for art composition and will certainly become a significant window for the world to approach the diverse art and culture of China.
