Mapping China: Film - Current Situation, Trend and Development: Film Technology

Virtual reality, CGI post-production and motion capture systems have become the core technologies of filmmaking in recent years. A new generation of information technology represented by cloud computing is accelerating the extensive application of digital films in the post-production process. Film projection technologies are also being upgraded. 3D, IMAX, 4K, laser and other technologies are changing the traditional patterns of projection. Improving the audio-visual quality and user experience for digital films by using new technology is becoming a hot spot in today’s and tomorrow’s film industry. China has become IMAX’s most important source of income and profit: revenue accounted for 27% of the global market, profit accounted for 54%. In the future, the internet, big data and electronic commerce will be used to build a family movie entertainment platform, which can form new horizons for the expanding film market.
