Movement of foreign goods
Movement of foreign (non-Community) goods within the EU customs territory
If non-Community goods, i.e. goods not originating from the EU, are transported from one location to another location in the EU, accompanied by a customs declaration and with a suspension of taxes, this is called ‘customs transit’. Customs transit is a customs procedure of the EU. For more information, see: http://www.douane.nl/zakelijk/vervoer/en/
An agreement has been concluded with several countries which are not members of the EU, to wit, the EFTA countries (Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland), pursuant to which customs transit can be applied in these countries, too.
