Disrupt!/ideathon in Tunis with Dimme van der Hout (Monkeybizniz)

Mideast Creatives, a programme of Hivos in collaboration with DutchCulture, is organizing a Disrupt!/ideathon in Tunis.

A Disrupt !/ event is a competative ideathon that brings together innovators within a specific sector of the creative sector. DutchCulture contributes by inviting relevant Dutch experts and supporting training sessions.

The event is part of the Mideast Creatives programme. This programme aspires to support a more sustainable cultural and creative sector in the Arab region, by providing support to collaborative workspaces, setting up training programmes for entrepreneurs in the aligned industries and improving access to finance.

Disrupt!/Games!/
The May edition of Disrupt!/ is taking place in Tunis and focusing on creative Tunisian cultural professionals, students and start-ups working in digital games and gamification. There will be a training and competition from 1-3 May, hosted at Cogite Coworking Space in Tunis.

Three experts will contribute to Disrupt!/: Adel Beznine, coach, consultant, trainer and founder of CREDO; Walid Sultan Midani, founder of Digitalmania, the first digital game developing company in Tunisia and, from the Netherlands, Dimme van der Hout, founder en Creative Director of Monkeybizniz, a design and production studio 'specialised in not-so-serious-games (yet very applied) and playful apps'.

Previous edition of Disrupt!/ took place in Beirut (in April, on Social Design) and Amman (in March, on Publishing).
