Europe Desk – EU funds for Culture

If you would like to cooperate with Turkish and/or Dutch cultural partners then the EU funding opportunities might be of interest to you. The European Union offers funding programmes that aim to promote and expand cultural exchange between European countries including Turkey. The EU funding programme for culture could therefore be a great instrument to sustain partnerships that have been built up through the bilateral year between Turkey and the Netherlands. For this year there is only one more call for proposals for the current grant programme, Culture Programme

For this year there is only one more call for proposals for the current grant programme, Culture Programme 2007-2013, namely for strand 1.3.5. cooperation projects with third countries (Canada or Australia), deadline 8 May 2013. The new programme Creative Europe 2014-2020 is still under discussion and we expect the first calls at the end of 2013, beginning of 2014.

The Europe Desk at DCICC hosts the Dutch European Cultural Contact Point, which can help and inform you about the funding opportunities for cultural cooperation projects at EU level. The Turkish European Cultural Contact Point offers similar service in Turkey and is located in Ankara.

European Cultural Contact Point

Cultural Contact Points are responsible for promoting the programme, facilitating the participation of as many cultural professionals as possible, ensuring an exchange of information with national cultural institutions, maintaining contact between the participants in the various EU programmes and a link with the other sources of information on these EU programmes. 

CCP offers tailor-made advice for cultural organizations that want to apply for grants at EU level. The Dutch CCP does this during the regular  consultation hour, each Thursday between 14-17 hrs. Appointments can be made via our website or by sending an email to ccpnl@sica.nl. Furthermore, the Dutch CCP organizes information meetings about funding opportunities, often in collaboration with Dutch sector institutes and umbrella organizations. If you want to be updated about our activities, please register to our newsletter (link website /node/10130).
