Joint venture agreement concluded between Considerati and BTS & Partners during trade mission
In Istanbul, on board the frigate Hr.Ms. Evertsen and in the presence of the Dutch deputy Prime Minister Mr Verhagen, the Dutch company Considerati entered into a joint venture agreement yesterday afternoon with BTS & Partners, a Turkish IT legislation company. Considerati, specialising in EU Internet legislation, has been involved in the G2G cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Justice since 2008 (G2G - Government to Government - is a programme managed by AgentschapNL and financed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation).
During the G2G projects, the Turkish Ministry was advised on the implementation of legislation relating to e-commerce and data protection. Such legislation seeks to protect consumers and companies wishing to buy and sell through the internet. The Turkish e-commerce market offers a lot of potential for Turkish and foreign internet companies. Therefore, it is of vital importance that appropriate legislation is in force.
Whilst the G2G cooperation between the Netherlands and Turkey is reaching its end on a governmental level, the cooperation is taken over and continued by the business sector.
