Mobility Funding Guide to the Caribbean
Mobility Funding Guide to the Caribbean
On the Move commissioned a team of researchers to map out grants and support schemes for the Caribbean, aimed at helping organisations and arts professionals engage with international colleagues and secure funding for their travel. DutchCulture was a proud partner in this research project and contributed by mapping grants and support schemes covering the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten).
This Funding Guide aims to provide an overview of the funding bodies and programmes that support the international mobility of artists and culture professionals with a focus on the whole Caribbean area. It should also provide inspiration for those responsible for public policies and mobility funds at local, regional, national and International/European levels, as well as private donors and mobility stakeholders at large. Reinforcing awareness of the remaining obstacles that stand in the way of equal access to international opportunities, it can suggest areas that should be financed more fairly and efficiently in order to ensure more sustainable support for cross-border cultural collaboration within the Caribbean and/or connected to it.
