Study trips to Brazil and Turkey
This autumn the Netherlands Theatre Institute (TIN) is organising study trips to Brazil and Turkey. With these trips the TIN is preparing an intensification of cultural cooperation in the field of residencies, production and presentation. The activities will be focussed on 2012.
The trips are intended for both theatre makers and companies, as well as venues and festivals in the performing arts sector. The aim of the trips is to make contacts which can lead to concrete plans for collaboration. Not just for 2012, but for before and after that date as well. The trips are designed for those who want to make new contacts or who want to consolidate older contacts.
Study trip to Turkey 13-20 September 2010
The trip to Turkey visited three cities: Ankara, Diyarbakir and Istanbul. The stay in Istanbul coincided with the satellite meeting of the International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM), in which Turkish companies and theatre makers were presented. The trip was organised by our Turkish contacts.
Study trip to Brazil, early November 2010
The trip to Brazil will take place at the end of October/early November. The group will visit Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro and probably Recife. The trip will concentrate on contemporary performing arts in Brazil, with an emphasis on the disciplines of dance and theatre/performance. The goal of the trip is to stimulate the exchange of shows and theatre makers, which could also mean setting up a reciprocal residency programme.
