Bandista is a band dedicated to making music for protests. They are very entertaining with excellent lyrics and a good multi-instrument use.

Siya Siyabend is a group of street musicians led by Bizon Murat who have been performing in Beyoğlu for more than 10 years. They are often seen in the middle of a large circle of spectators playing santur, DJembe etc. They sell their own CDs and have been featured in Fatih Akın’s movie “Crossing the Bridge”.

2/5 BZ is a one-man project by Serhat Köksal, who has been performing in Europe and Istanbul for more than 15 years. He is known to mix sound bytes from popular culture with eclectic music in live shows. http://www.myspace.com/2serhat5bz
