Project Houses

There are two other important actors in photography today, whose mission it is to augment investments in photography and support the creation of new collaborative photography projects.

Geniş Açı (www.genisaci.com) is founded by two photographers, Refik Akyüz and Serdar Darendeliler, who strive to create alternative platforms where young photographers can show their work and also initiate projects where photography can catalyze social integration. During the “Turkey Season in France”, they presented a project where immigrant Turkish kids from France photographed various Turkish cities and the final work was exhibited in Rennes and Paris.

Fotoğrafevi (www.fotografevi.com) is another critical initiative dedicated to promoting photography to all people who are interested in this art as amateurs or as professionals. They regularly organize exhibitions and workshops.

FOTOTREK Photography Center is another important project house where photography amateurs and passionates can get technical education, exhibit their work and join competitions.
