Rodaan Al Galidi receives EU Prize for Literature
Today, the Dutch writer Rodaan Al Galidi is one of the twelve authors that are going to receive the European Union Prize for Literature during a ceremony in Brussels. Al Galidi has been awarded for his book De autist en de postduif (The autist and the carrier-pigeon).
The aim of the European Prize for Literature is to put the spotlight on the creativity and diverse wealth of Europe’s contemporary literature in the field of fiction, to promote the circulation of literature within Europe and encourage greater interest in non-national literary works.
