Website Cultural Exchange Brazil-the Netherlands launched

Brazil and the Netherlands share a long cultural, diplomatic and economic history. A large number of Brazilian and Dutch partners are eager to promote cultural collaboration between both countries and to put a range of projects and programmes into effect.

SICA realised the website www.culturalexchange-br.nl  to provide a platform for cultural collaboration between the Netherlands and Brazil. Producers, government agencies and the public are invited to contribute to this site.

At this moment the editors are working on the content, design and technique. As from December 2010 a comprehensive description of the Brazilian cultural infrastructure per discipline (the mapping BR), up to date event and news pages, and a database on relevant organisations and individuals (index) will be online. At this moment only the Contemporary Arts and Popular music mappings are on line, but in the following weeks more content will be added. Visitors can contribute by writing comments, add news and start discussions.

This platform is a pilot project for other future Cultural Exchange sites for cultural collaboration with countries like China, Turkey and Russia.
