Europe Day 2017 - 12 December 2017

The Art of Trust
Date(s)
Tuesday 21 November 2017 15:00

We would like to draw your attention to Europe Day 2017 'The Art of Trust'!

Europe Day 2017 is organised by Creative Europe Desk NL and Europe for Citizens Point NL, on 12 December in Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. Main focus of the day is:

How to gain trust of potential investors and partners for your project?

Decrease in public funding, challenges of globalisation, opportunities of digitisation and the increasing empowerment of crowds are pushing the cultural, creative and civil society sectors more and more to explore new ways of committing partners and to seek for other approaches of financing. During Europe Day we will examine these trends, offering the floor to funders, advisors and practitioners.

Guarantee Facility (15:45 – 17:00)
by Creative Europe Desk NL
In the context of limited access to finance for the cultural and creative sectors, the Creative Europe programme earmarked €121 million to a financial mechanism acting as insurance to financial intermediaries (e.g. banks) offering financing to cultural and creative sector initiatives. The guarantee scheme is managed by the European Investment Fund. In this session we will discuss this topic in a panel discussion.
Speakers confirmed: Gunnar Mai (Head of Division EU Guarantee Facilities, European Investment Fund), Anne Marie de Blieck (Head of Arts and Culture at Triodos Investment Management), Kees van Weijen (president of IMPALA Independent Music Companies Association), Doreen Boonekamp (Director of the Netherlands Film Fund), , Hans Luyckx (voorzitter Dutch Games Association).
Moderator: Esther van Rijswijk
