Finnish guests in a visitors programme on residencies
Finnish guests in a visitors programme on residencies
Last summer TransArtists joined the annual artist-in-residence network meeting of the Finnish Artist Studio Foundation at Serlachius-residency in Mänttä, Finland. During this meeting subjects as sustainability of AiR practices in remote areas were discussed, as well as ideas to develop regional networks between AiR organisations in Finland.
Now DutchCulture I TransArtists invites a small delegation of Finnish AiR organisers to meet and exchange with colleagues in the Netherlands. One of our guests Association of Minna Canth is at the moment setting up a large scale residency program in rural eastern Finland. They are interested in meeting Dutch residencies to exchange knowledge and expertise on how to set up a regional network; how to deal with challenges in a rural context, and how to work with historical legacy in a residency context.
