first meeting xiaoming xia

From 31 August until the end of 2012 Xia Xiaoming will take part in a residency at MAAS residency in Nijmegen.

On Sunday 9 September she will hold a first presentation to start her residency and get to know some of the art community.

A drama theater in the brain.

"For me, I love to try different things and I love to share all of them. But I am also a very contradicted person, I can be enthusiastic and frustrated at the same time, there may be a drama theater in my brain. Well, most of the time I just enjoy life. And life is just too short, the difficulties can’t be the obstacles, on the contrary they are all cherish you can get from life.

My work is a research of people and the things which these people relate to themselves, what they shall stand in this world, to work, to communicate, to live, to dream. I try to represent them to extract the meanings from the everyday life and simplify it making itself to tell you all their stories."
