Raiz do Sana in Alberto's Studio

In order to celebrate the two year anniversary of 'Forró for All', every Thursday in Alberto's studio, organizer Julio Brechó brings in collaboration with the Brazilian Ministry of Culture (MinC) the Brazilian band Raiz do Sana to the Netherlands.

At the moment Raiz do Sana is a huge success in Brazil. The singer of the band stems from a new generation called 'forró universitário', who mixes forró with other rhythms such as Samba, Rock, Salsa and Soul.

Forró is a popular Brazilian dance and music style from the Northeast of the country. The background of forró are European and African folk music, which met a hundred years ago at popular parties.
