Visiting guest Chen Wei and Liu Gang

In the first week of October, Chen Wei and Liu Gang will be guests in the international visitor programme of the Mondriaan Foundation. Their visit is co-organised together with SICA.

Chen Wei is a visual artist and curator at the Guandong Museum of Modern Art in Guangzho. Liu Gang is an artist and SICA’s local assistant in China. During their visit in the Netherlands, they will meet several organisations in the field of the visual arts and photography.

On 3 October, both guests will share their views on the present day developments in their country during an network meeting in Amsterdam, hosted by SICA and the Chinese European Art Centre (CEAC) in co-operation with Mondriaan Foundation and The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture.  Also present is professor Qin Jian from Xiamen University and co-founder of CEAC.
