Dunya Festival

‘Ortel dunya festival’ in Rotterdam organized by DUCOS Productions sometimes brings Turkish dance acts. Dunya Festival is a free yearly event that is organized on the last Sunday of May. That day there are about 200.000 visitors from the Netherlands and abroad. The location is the Rotterdamse Park near Euromast. See: www.dunya.nl.  

Altays Kampioenschappen Turks Volksdansen

Since 2004 the Kampioenschappen Turks Volksdansen (Championships Turkish Folk Dance) are organized by Stichting Altays in Stadsschouwburg Utrecht. Since 2008 locations with a larger capacity are used due to the growing number of visitors. Around 10 groups from the Netherlands compete with each other. In the breaks stand-up comedians perform their acts.
