Görüşmek Project

In 2008 there was a co-production named Görüşmek, about innovation in Turkish folkdance. The Stadsschouwburg Utrecht worked together with the dance Conservatory of Sakarya University from Adapazarı/Sakarya. Five teachers of this course produced, together with 90 youth from folkdance groups from Utrecht, the dance performance Ilk Hasat. The student group from Adapazarı performed ‘Taklitten Oyuna Oyundan Sanata’. In February 2010 there was a second project, Buluşma, together with the head of the Dance vocational school Istanbul, choreographer Ahmet Demirbağ and other Dutch theaters.
