Geelvinck Music Museums

Established in 1991, the Geelvinck Museum gradually started to focus on music, with the collection of historical pianos - especially fortepiano - at its center. In 2008, the museum acquired the Sweelinck Collection (the country's most important collection of playable fortepiano's). With classical music in a broad sense - from Old Music to contemporary compositions and cross-overs with other cultures - the museum distinguishes itself from other music museums.
