Grachtenfestival

The Grachtenfestival is the stage for young musicians from all over the world. During this largest classical music festival in the Netherlands they engage young and old to unique concerts. Ten days dazzling classic throughout Amsterdam.

With more than 250 concerts on 90 venues, the Grachtenfestival offers a programme for every taste and preference. A large part of the concerts will be held outdoors. These concerts are free of charge. Other concerts will be held on remarkable venues. Don’t be surprised to discover a concert programmed in a metro tunnel or under a bridge in Amsterdam City. And for the ‘Home, Garden and Rooftop Terrace Concerts' the festival scouts for fabulous drawing rooms in private mansions at the Amsterdam Canals. The majority of the concerts are classical music, but the Grachtenfestival also tends to jazz lovers.
