University of Delaware, Department of History

The University of Delaware History Departmen offers specific study areas such as Global History, European History or American History.

The History Graduate Program offers both Master of Arts and Doctoral degrees. Along with nationally recognized strengths in American and European history, the department hosts three special-interest graduate programs, the UD-Hagley Graduate Program in industrialization and technology, the American Civilization Program, which focuses on material culture studies and the Social Studies in World History Program, a hybrid/online master’s degree program for teachers. Many of the department's graduate students pursue interests in public history and complete the Museum Studies Program.
