Municipality Venues

In Istanbul- Asian side, there are Kadıköy Haldun Taner Stage, Ümraniye Stage, Üsküdar Musahipzade Celal Stage and Üsküdar Kerem Yılmazer Stage. On the European side, Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage, Fatih Reşat Nuri Stage, Kağıthane Sadabat Stage, Kağıthane Küçük Kemal Children Theater Stage, Gaziosmanpaşa Stage, Gaziosmanpaşa Ferih Egemen Children Theater Stage, Küçükçekmece Sefaköy Stage (more info: www.ibb.gov.tr). In order to get in contact with these venues, one has to find individual contacts. Istanbul State Ballet Company’s artistic directors can be the right persons to contact for state ballet institutions in general: Ayfer Zeren (ayferzeren@yahoo.com) and Deniz Olgay Yamanus (dolgay@ttmail.com). They might direct you to the right people if you want to get in contact with other state ballet institutions as well. For municipality venues, the general artistic director is Ayşenil Şamlıoğlu (aysenilsam@yahoo.com), and the director of the dance theatre section is Handan Ergiydiren (handanergiydiren@gmail.com). A recent development is the Contemporary Performing Arts Center in the context of Municipal Theater of İstanbul, the director is Emre Koyuncuoğlu (emrekoyuncuoglu@gmail.com). A young actor who is also involved with contemporary dance is Çağlar Yiğitoğulları (caglaryigitogullari@gmail.com).
