Àgua Carioca architecture Project

Ooze is undertaking a study of natural, self-regulating and small-scale water management in informal neighbourhoods in Rio de Janeiro.

Ooze wants to conduct a series of interviews with policy makers, urban designers, NGOs and residents. On the basis of the interviews, Ooze will make a design proposal for the neighbourhood of Maré that incorporates spatial, ecological and social aspects. The results of the study will be presented at the end of 2012 in the CAU (Centro de Arquitetura e Urbanismo) in Rio de Janeiro.

The project has been realised with support from the Netherlands Architecture Fund / International Projects Programme .
