Brazilian and Dutch architects working together in matchmaking project
Brazilian and Dutch architects are meeting in the last week of June 2013 in São Paulo, to join the second workshop of the matchmaking programme of both Brazilian project developer Idea! Zarvos and The New Institute from the Netherlands. In April 2013 the first workshop took place in the metropolitan city.
Six teams of architects participate:
- Lua Nitsche – Nitsche Architects (BR)
- Marcelo Morettin – Andrade Morettin Architects (BR)
- Rodrigo Marcondes Ferraz – FGMF Architects (BR)
- Jacob van Rijs – MVRDV Architects (NL)
- Helena Casanova and Jesus Hernandez - Casanova+Hernandez Architects (NL)
- Marc and Nicole Maurer – Maurer United Architects (NL)
In the first workshop the architects started working on developing a new flexible prototype for a small-space home or office. The teams were challenged how to make the most out of limited space. In the second workshop the architects will work on different assignments.
Coordinators of the matchmaking programme are Paula Baselice from Idea! Zarvos and Jorn Konijn of the Netherlands Architecture Institute (now part of The New Institute).
