China documentary on Dutch TV

We would like to draw your attention to the following documentary which will be shown on Dutch television starting October 22nd.

While the rest of the world gawks at the sheer endless number of skyscrapers in Shanghai, the unlimited Cartier necklaces and the BMWs causing traffic jams, there is a group of students at the prestigious Fudan University wondering if this is really it?

The students start studying Confuscian texts wondering which way the dragon should follow.

The documentary was made by Marije Meerman together with Ying Zhu, professor at CUNY in New York, where he writes about contemporary Chinese society and media.
